Dalkia and the town of Ploiesti have created the first semi-public undertaking in the energy sector in Romania. Operation and maintenance of the cogeneration plant and the networks is handled under a 15-year public service outsourcing contract awarded to a joint company, Dalkia Termo Prahova, owned 80% by Dalkia Romania and 20% by the municipality.
Work undertaken to improve energy production and operation of the facilities has delivered energy savings, which are passed on to heating prices.
