Preserve and upgrade the network
- Invest in upgrading the network and improving infrastructure operation, particularly with respect to energy efficiency.
- In the first years of the contract, bring down the heating costs for customers. This is the second biggest expense for Baltic households because outdoor temperatures can dip to 30°C below zero in winter. Moreover, energy consumption for heating is very high because of the poor condition of the buildings.
- Optimize the level, reliability and availability of service.
- Develop new sources of renewable energy and optimize efficiency to help the country in its policy of limiting imports of natural gas and enable it to abide by its commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions under the Kyoto Protocol.
